Draft at the Great Nebraska Beer Festival. Cloudy pale yellow color, thick white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of earthy sour fruit. Taste is only lightly sour, fruity. Decent.

~3 oz sample at the Boulevardia Taps & Tastes in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed yellow, golden, orange with a small white head. The aroma is fresh peach and apricot fruit, soft tartness and wood barrel notes. The taste is really nice grass notes, the peach and apricot fruit is layered nicely on top and the tartness wakes up the finish. The wood of the barrel is present, though it is faint and in the finish. The fruit really carries this beer beautifully. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and fruit tart finish. Perfectly drinkable, really nice. Right up there with my favorite beers of the festival.

Clear golden color. No lacing left over. Sweet white bread malts, nondistinct hops. Very low bitterness, soft carbonation. Finishes lighter and the sweetness fades to a clean finish. Cali common? Really?

Cinder Block Sour Summer I had a couple of ~2 oz samples at the Boulevardia Taps & Tastes in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is mostly clear golden, with not much of a white head. The aroma is soft and approachable tart sour with present wheat malt and a bit of citrus. The flavor is really nice, perfect balance of sour tart funk with the base wheat malt. The palate is light to medium bodied, clean dry finish where the Brett is evident. Really easy drinking, one of the highlights of the festival.

16 oz. draft at the brewery tap room in North Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is a hazed orange copper with a 1/2 inch foamy white head. The aroma is rye spice, wheat grain along with a bit of a lemon zing. The taste is the spice rye upfront, mineral a grapefruit citrus, pine and the wheat grain. Bright, fresh and decently integrated. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a mineral dry rye finish. As the beer warmed, the finish got a touch flabby. Unique beer, nice one.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amer with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of raisin and barrel with earthy grass and grains. Flavor begins with raisin and has a finish of sweet grain, Chardonnay, a hint of butterscotch and earthy grass.
