About
Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales was the first all wild, oak-aged brewery in the United States. We use old-world brewing methods to create traditional rustic country style beers.

Fabulous. A blend of beers from over the past 15 years. A work of art. Deep, rich, loads of oak.

Made it to Jolly Pumpkin! So exciting. Bunch of wild oak barrel stuff on tap today, almost all of it π this is a great, normal stout. Quite roasty

Picked up at this awesome bottle shop in Houston, hopefully the search will auto fill. Born on: 1/10/24. Had the reserve before but never the OG.
Pint glass at home after a few months sleeping in the fridge.
Somewhat opaque, maybe just a little protein haze. Pours like iced yea, lingering foam. Definitely hazy on the second pour.
Nose is all oak, macerated cherries, apricots, lemon, sticky dried up malt.
Tart soaked cherries & really astringent wood pith. Black tea tannins, a little lemon, bourbon, strangely savory dark malt, just a twinge of pleasant oxidation.
Sizzling, nicely tart but otherwise dry, lingering dry mouth.
Tasty.

12 oz. can, while camping. Pours a clear, straw color, with a big, foamy, white head. The nose is lemongrass, grains of paradise, light pine, and rosemary oils. Sweet and phenoic, with a faint, earthy bitterness. Lightly funky and sour. Pretty nice.

2025 can from Livonia Liquor. Pours an unclear red plum purple with a small bit of pink colored head that dissipates. Nice lacing on the glass. Aromas of raspberry and blackberry skin and fruit with some light vinegar and oak aromas as it warms. Palate is similar with lots of raspberry fruit, skin and seed flavors. Finish is dry and tart.

500 mL bottle, 2020 vintage, poured. Clean golden appearance. Patchy head that lasts. Dry flavor throughout, soft spice. Gentle tart, white wine notes, subtle oak. Easy drinking. Very nice cellar pull.
