Tap at Milwaukee Ale House. Like you put Nestle Quik in your Dunkelweizen. The cocoa tones are pleasant enough, but decidedly artificial, thin, depthless. Gimmicky beer for the new school.

Pours a coppery amber from a bottle. Not much of an aroma, a bit of spicy yeast. Flavor is surprisingly floral, not picking up much citron, which is a fantastic fruit btw. Okay beer.

Tap at Milwaukee Ale House. Unfiltered amber orange body. Foamy, big, off-white head. Pretty decent IPA, nice Amarillo tones. Standard stuff. OK, respectable and enjoyable enough.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler from Sendik's Marquette. Black, large fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, oats, chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, oats, chocolate. Medium bodied, creamy, smooth. Nice stout.

Bottle with many thanks to Drake! Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is hay, baking bread, hint of floral hops. Flavor is bread crust, gain, light corn, hint of fruitiness in there too. Decent and I don't love the style.

Bottle with many thanks to Drake! Pours golden-orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is way more tangerine than it is grapefruit - somewhat sweet smelling, the ruby grapefruit. Flavor is tangy ruby grapefruit - very juicy especially on the back end, with some pine and floral notes as well. Easy to drink and very tasty.

Bottle with many thanks to Drake! Pours golden with a small khaki head. Aroma is apple, light citrus (orange), resin. Flavor is interesting: resin, soap, green leaves, lemon rind, a little earth, black tea. I get the fusion between the styles. Enjoyable.

Bottle with many thanks to Drake! Pours orange-amber with a large off-white to beige head. Aroma is citrus, resin, black tea, caramel. Flavor is a strange combination of honey-roasted oats and citrus, soap, pine, caramel. I guess it's not strange, but the first sip was odd and unexpected. Long lingering bittersweet finish.
