Tap at the brewery. alcohol is low. A little salty, dry, some yeast and an earthy quality. Light palate, definitely sessionable, a little pear. Even for the style it is light, but good enough. Light copper color. Did Trappist monks create this type of beer? i didn’t know that.

Autumn Brew Review 2015. Some green apple aroma, maybe needed some aging. Flavor has more green apple. This could have been a good beer but something did not go right. I suspect it is too young, and that is unfortunate because a port barrel can be excellent for aging.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of bread and rye with a bit of grass and light pine underlying. Flavor has earthy grain and rye with a bit of grass underlying.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has dark fruits and bread with a hint of toffee. Flavor has a lot of bread with so e dark dried fruit with a hint of toffee backing.
