Crowler. Pours as clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has citrus and grass with a bit of biscuit and sweet grains underlying. Flavor has grass and biscuit with a bit of citrus bite and grains backing.

Crowler. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bread and biscuit with a hint of earthy pine underlying. Flavor is similar with bread and biscuit supported by earthy wet pine.
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5
Sample size. Dry oak character, but no alcohol flavor such as bourbon or vanilla that I often pick up. Dry, moderate roast.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a sweet citrus with a hint of citrus rind and a sweet grains underlying. Flavor has dry citrus with a light sweetness and a bit of grain backing.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a decent amount of citrus and a hint of pine with an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has earthy citrus and wet bread with grains and straw backing.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has has straw and creamy sweet grain with coffee underlying. Flavor has sweet grains, light popcorn and coffee backing.

Nitro at the brewpub. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has sweet dark grains supported by dark chocolate, roasted malts and a touch of lactose. Flavor has lactose and sweet dark grains with growing bitter chocolate and roasted malts.

Winterfest 2017. Barrel aged. Black color and far too much bourbon in the aroma, and when blended with the beer. the aroma alone makes it nearly undrinkable for my palate. I am sure it would be better without the barrel aging.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a slight gold hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of grain notes with some earthy grass and a hint of citrus backing. Flavor is also grain dominated but has a slight bite of earthy citrus and grass underlying.
