Sample at Beer Dabbler. Black of course, carbonation is low. Roasted malt, alcohol in the flavor and aroma, a little sweetness with the charred malt gives some coffee and dark chocolate flavor.

Tap. Pours inky black with a small late forming dark brown head that dissipates to a ring with decent lacing. Aroma is unfortunately dry erase marker forward, along with loads of molasses, anise and a hint of tobacco. Flavor is medium sweet, fully bitter, dark and roasty, burnt malt, blackstrap molasses, coffee grounds, chemicals. Full body and creamy mouthfeel. Bruiser of a beer that is hurt by its odd initial aroma and a faint chemical aftertaste
