Sample at the GCBA Summer Session on 08/23/2014: Clear gold color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Aroma of grassy hops, fruit and sweet malt. Light body with flavors of bready malt, herbal hops and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Reviewed from notes.
Thanks to Ryan for the bottle.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance had a hazy orange to light ruddy yellowish brown color. There’s a light glossy white foamy lacing trying to stick but sliding for the most part.
The smell had a slight pine to citrus to grassiness trying to have a delicate grapefruit but really stays towards the pine.
The taste was bittersweet pine/sweet citrus with a misleading spice that I’m unsure where it came from because I didn’t get any of that in the smell.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was there but not as sharp as expected for the style. This one comes across smoother than expected.
Overall, mainly a good AIPA but almost doesn’t have enough sharpness in the palate/mouthfeel.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Clear dark brownish-amber color with a thin off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Malt, caramel and bananas in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of biscuit malt, banana and earthy malt. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
