Super thick and black with almost no carbonation and no head. Full molasses, vanilla, some chocolate, dark malts, extremely sweet. Heavy and silky smooth body. A bit too sweet for me but a flavor powerhouse.

Light copper with a tall white head. Lemony, citrus, a bit herbal. Light Malt sweetness. Finish gets really sweet and bright fruits. I would have never guessed 7%. Light to medium body. Middle of the road.

12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, bottled in fall 2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent Oktoberfest style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. This was a touch hoppy for the style, but everything else was spot on. A very enjoyable offering.

Sample at the Grandview Summer Session on 08/22/2015. The beer is a clear golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of fruit, wheat and spices. Light-bodied with flavors of herbal wheat, citrus and spice. The finish is wheaty with a mild fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the Grandview Summer Session on 08/22/2015. The beer is a cloudy apricot color with a minimal white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit, wheat and malt. Light body with a melon character and notes of mild wheat and toasted malt. The finish is fruity with a melon aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle thanks to Jsquire. Pours faintly cloudy bright yellow with largish foamy off-white head, floral hops aroma, low carbonation, bitter piney flavored hops taste, long bitter finish with citrus peel aftertaste. Robustly hopped but not annoying.

$2 vintage. From a bottle this stuff looks almost alive in the glass, things going up, things falling down; lots of precipitant. Ever so slight ipa aroma. First taste is grapefruit mild bitter rinds pleasant. Yes, some astringent hop bitterness in there but its almost like ipa acceptable. Certainly is refreshing. Better than expected considering its full of spice. Yes, more like a hopped up unsweetened fresh squeezed grapefruit brew, but not quite as green nor oily. So, on the big swig its quite refreshing then as it finishes, that medium mild hop thang kicks in. Yes, better than expected.

Bottle, slightly cooler than room temp. Pillowy head. Mild hop perfume olfactory. A little less bitter than stronger IPA, but ipa ish none the less. Yes, quite hoppy bitter. Barely any co2. Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between a stronger pale ale and a session ipa, go figger.

Taste of big pineapple, peach, mango, melon, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, peach, mango, melon, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, light pine, honey, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness for a while. My bottle label is quite different. $3 at vintage. Nice viscous pour with a slight haze and rocky head. Smell is straight up ipa flora with no BO. First taste is heavy ipa all the way. Mouth coating rude nasty hoppy preservative medicinal bite that overwhelms the whole experience. What else can be said except that its terribly on style. Not impressed but if you like this style, seek it out.
