Bottle: Pours clear gold with a short white head. Scent is apple, grain malt. Sweet...fruit and barley malt flavor, corn. Nothing wrong with this at all...a plain old American Lager...not bad for what it is.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Cheap...well it fits. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Oh man, sugary sweet tart nose: this is not the aroma of a fruit known to man! The flavor is fake super sweet sugars, some fake berries, medium carbonation. Of course it’s drinkable: it’s cool aid. Damn.

New Beer Distributors, NY can ($1.75): Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is grain, and your basic pale lager smells. Taste is rather inoffensive, but there are a few off-putting notes in here. Mostly just watery and bland, of course. I was expecting it to be worse.

24 ounce can from Belmont Station. Drank out of the can. A light skunky metallic nose. Pretty much a mostly dirty grainy flavor. Not much flavor besides corn and metal. Easy to drink for the most part.

Been waiting a long time to try this and I got my friend nike to thank for this sample, you old iron city man! Smell is quite fruity and almost volatile, bordering on artificial perfume. Looks like pale lager. From a twist off clear bottle, quite a sight. Taste is certainly iron city light but with a berry backbone. Perhaps not as sweet as I anticipated. Not bad for a fruity beer but the berryness in there gets a tad overwhelming at times. I want to say this is typical fruit beer but it is not. Seems a little stronger than the 3.8% listed on the bottle. Big thanks B for this beer, glad i got the chance to try it!

So its back, the ol’gold crown from stoney’s, at least that is what the guy over at santiago told me. At least I get to pad my most beer rated kingship of iron city beers and the umbrella there-of. I’m not too exited because I know this company, melanie, makes most of IC beers now. Head is pretty nice and rocky for cheappie beer. Pour is typical pale lager, except for the head of course. Taste is not too bad, is more acceptable than most melanie brewing beers. Hey, I just noticed, iron city brewing, city (melanie) brewing? some relationshipe there? hehheh. Does have a slight soapy aroma. Overall, better than I expected, I’ll have to give nike one of these. Not many rude effects, jsut plain pittsburgh lagerirsh. Yes, better than expected.
