Can thanks to Jeff, thanks! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of coffee with a good amount of sweet grain and a decent amount of cookie. Flavor has coffee, sweet grains, caramel and a slight cinnamon note.

Growler filled at the brewery where it exhibits a crystal clear pure copper body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up pineapple, mango and some tangelo citrus hops with smooth malts in the background. The taste develops really nice with smooth soft subtle malts, bitter pineapple and tangelo like hops and then modest mango like juiciness. Yes. Bitter, faintly resiny, slightly juicy and it works very well. Not super rich and intense but chewy enough to be fun.

32oz crowler pours with a clear gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up coffee notes smelling like a medium or light roasted coffee bean. There’s not much more aroma to find behind the coffee. The taste delivers an initial coffee sensation as well as a seemingly out of place sweet vanilla note. As it warmed that sweetness turned more malty. To midway the coffee allows a bit of mild grainy maltiness as well as a sense of floral and spicy hops to surface briefly. Pretty fun beer but I get little resemblance to a Kolsch as it’s too sweet and the coffee muddles the potential crisp hoppiness I enjoy in a proper Kolsch. The coffee is on the pedestrian side but maybe that’s the best fit here. I wonder what a more earthy and faintly tobacco nuanced coffee might do in this?

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grapefruit aroma with light pine. Grapefruit and light pine flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and light pine lingers.

Growler pours with a clear copper body that has gold edges and supports an off white head. The aroma offers up malty notes amid hops that are largely pine with lesser amounts of grapefruit and just a dash of hop earthiness. The taste is similar with crisp slightly roasted malts, pine hoppiness and bits of grapefruit where the hops are biased strongly in the direction of resiny hop bitterness. This has a nice pale ale malty base as well as full bitter hoppiness.

Pours with a clear mahogany colored body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma is sweet with malts, a bit of nuttiness and then caramel malts edged thinly by chocolate malts. The taste is on the sweet side as malts and caramel malts and a dash of chocolate malts tend to dominate. This has nice depth but is a bit too sweet and doesn’t deliver the slight dark roastiness I enjoy in many from this style.

OK, thought this was a rye grain like IPA but this is indeed a whiskey barrel aged IPA. Hmm. It pours with a crystal clear copper body that has gold edges and supports an off white head of foam. The aroma offers up big bold brash soft sweet whisky notes and some vanilla that are ringed thinly by pithy citrus and a spicy woody sensation. The taste is similar as it is largely big round soft whiskey with only snippets of “beer’ notes around the edges. Well off in the background I get faint citrusy grapefruit. For my taste this is far too barrel forward as the beer is nearly washed away.
