Description
It all started with brothers Carl and Mark Nolen and Brewmaster Kirby Nelson. Three Wisconsin born-and-raised regular guys who share a passion for the Badger State - its friendly people, bountiful resources, rich brewing heritage - and the idea that drawing on all of the above is the key to creating some really awesome beer.

We started brewing in August of 2013, setting off a perpetual motion machine of new brew creations that show no sign of stopping. Our top brands include Badger Club Amber, Red Arrow American Pale Ale, Chocolate Lab Porter, Yankee Buzzard IPA, Beer Frame Pilsner, Betray Ale, S'Wheat Caroline, Patron Saint Oktoberfest, Porter Joe, Wiskator and Depth Charge Scotch Ale.

Come and enjoy a pint (or two) afterwards in our Tap Room or Backyard Bar. We have free, outdoor concerts every Friday night from May through September, and other fun events throughout the year. Our Brewery is kid and dog-friendly. We do not offer food service, but outside food is welcome.

Free beer.
He gave me three bottles.
This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange with a slight transparency about it. The carbonation was rising at a moderate pace to fill a rapidly dissipating head. Light lacing stuck around the sides of the glass in a messy sort of way.
The smell was basically the caramel malts.
The taste was once again the caramel malts, sweet thorough aftertaste with a super long sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was mostly smoot with no harshness as an IPA, session, English or American even shows.
Overall, I see that it says \"retired\" but I don’t know how long. To me, it’s too sweet on the malts and doesn’t show any hop bitterness. I think I see why this is retired.

Sampled from the tap at Brady’s Brewhouse. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has notes of a good amount of resin and pine with a pretty strong sweet grain backbone. Flavor has sweet grains throughout with growing pine and resin notes.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a thin slick white head. Strong on the pine resin indeed. It’s massive. Complimented with a good bit of sweet malt and some alcohol warmth. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Finishes sharp & dry, with a lingering bitterness.

Danish pour at Next Door. Filtered yellow body. Grainy, cheap aroma. In no way enticing. Oh man, this is amateur hour swill. Friggin bad. Cheap. Bad. Flat out buttery and no hop character. A shame. 70s style US beer.

12oz bottle. Filtered orange-tan body. Sweet, rich, malty aroma, relatively true to style. A pretty decent beer. Not exactly going to hang with quality German stuff but sessionable, clean, drinkable, fresh...OK. One of the more enjoyable offerings from WBC so far.

12oz bottle. Filtered yellow-tan body. Thin, steady, white head. Really poor lagering, cheap ingredients. Really glad I didn’t get a sixpack of this. The aroma is rather approaching putrid. A little better than macro swill, but definitely on that same level.

12oz bottle. Murky amber-orange body. Thin, oily head. US Amber-Saison just sounds like a bad idea. Has some farmhouse-esque yeast tones I suppose. The amber malt is not overbearing, but the end product is. Tastes kind of like a sub-par Belgian Amber, whereas the Zenith was a little more refined in its style. Unique enough product, but don’t see myself going back for more.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow-orange-tan body. Foamy white head. Peppery, spicy yeast tones. Pretty tolerable for a "session" Saison. Clove, coriander. Medium bodied, pretty drinkable. A touch thin, lacks much depth..but at the same time is a little more grounded than most US Saisons. OK.

Sample at the taproom. Clear golden color with a medium white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops, malt and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of spicy hops, biscuit malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the taproom. Slightly hazy orange-gold color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of hops, yeast and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of earthy hops, yeast and roast malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hops aftertaste. Decent overall.
