Located in a former roadside speakeasy on US Route 50 heading west into the city of Cincinnati, Fifty West Brewing Company first opened its doors in November of 2012. Since then, one thing has remained the same. Every time you have a Fifty West beer, you know it was handmade in small batches with a focus on the four virtues we hold closest to our hearts: craftsmanship, tradition, innovation, and patience.

Lemon, caramel malt, and fresh hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate light tan head. Lightly sweet lemon, caramel malt, and moderately bitter fresh hay flavor. Good body.

12 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown head. Aroma brings out lots of dark dried fruits, bourbon barrel, and bready caramel. Flavour is very boozy and hot, with hot bourbon barrels, dark dried fruits, some tartness, and bready malt. Way too hot and slightly tart. Pretty harsh and lacking coordination. It's okay.

On tap at Fifty West, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is full of piney hops, some resins, and biscuity malt. Flavour is full of bright piney hops, light resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Piney and bright, well-constructed and drinkable. Very good.

Can, 5.3%. Medium red, nice head, aromatic citrus and malt nose. Great malty taste, fresh grain backbone. Nice bitterness balance.
