Bootleg 12oz bottle. Aroma is strong with a smooth vanilla that I though was barrel at first. But then the description informs me better. Soft sweet vanilla and Impy stout aroma. Flavor is low vanilla with some sweet chocolate. Light papery roasted malts. Really nice.

Bottle I had in the cellar for a while. Pours a caramel brown with some sticky, off white head. Nose of booze, vanilla, caramel, sticky toffee. Flavor is boozy, vanilla, toffee, caramel. Sweet and sticky finish.

Bottle at the October DC Ratebeer tasting. Poured a black as oil black color with a small tan head. Aroma was dark chocolate, woody staves, whiskey. Flavor had some dark chocolate in it, roasted coffee. Tasty.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla with a bit of whisky. HInt of fruit. Med + body. Flavor is smooth dark malt, some sweetness that could be lactose, vanilla, some darkish fruit and whisky and a bit of wood. With the passage of time I can just barely decipher blueberry. Chocolate comes back in the finish in a mild way. There’s a sort of spice aspect that reminds of rye. Rye barrels? I’m starting to feel that as actuality. Goes well with Marcus’ fresh blueberries.
