Bottle. A- Espresso beans, coffee, chocolate. A- Black color, black liquid, beige head. T- Coffee, espresso, chocolate. P- Full body, thin texture, average carbonation, full finish. O- Tried this as a fest last week and searched forever for it. Not on here and no response from the brewery. Turns out that’s because I tried it even before it was "officially" released. Now that it’s release party is tonight, I added it. Great beer. A bit thin on the body but otherwise simply excellent. Tons of espresso and chocolate and very tasty.

Bottle. A- Cocoa, roasty, subtle coffee. A- Black color, black liquid, light brown head. T- Roasty, cocoa, dry, coffee. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Not half the coffee I think should be in there. In fact, it was very weak. Tasted good, but needs more if you’re going to headline it being a Sumatra coffee beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber gold with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has musty pine hops with a bit of bitter citrus and an earthy grain backbone. Flavor has bread and sweet grain with a good amount of bitter citrus.

Draft. A- Alcohol, chocolate syrup. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Licorice, chocolate syrup, alcohol. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, rich finish. O- This was not what I was expecting. Didn’t really know what the VIP stood for either. Now that I know, it really could’ve used a lot more vanilla because i hardly got any of it. Also didn’t detect any bourbon. I got the alcohol but it was more of a sharp vodka kind of burn than a whisky booze. Still not too bad.
