Tap @Luppolo Station in Rome-Uno Italy. Cloudy orange color with a white foam leaving drafts. Nose is grassy-spicy-floral with cereals. Mouth is citric and spicy. Good balance.

Clear orange blond beer, big creamy solid beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: little fruity, yeasty, apples, pears, a bit floral. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, clean malt bill, floral touch, a little soapy, good bitterness, particular yeast profile, nice. Aftertaste: bitter, dry, hoppy, pleasant malt flavour, more fruity notes, rural character, lemon peel, some barnyard, dry finish.

Sampled from the tap at Afterthought. Pours a near clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has light straw and bright citrus with grass and a hint of hay. Flavor has lots of bread and grass with some straw supporting.

Fairly crisp and haylike. A hint of florals. Clear golden pour with ok head. Crisp finish with a hint of sweetness. Tap at Sovereign.

Rye IPA (hopped with Saaz and Challenger) by this interesting and progressive microbrewery in northern France, at less than sixty yards from the border with Belgium. Medium thick, snow white, moussy, slowly opening head, warm misty orangey peach blonde robe. Rather unusual, but attractive aroma of fried parsley, matcha tea, sundried tomatoes, unsmoked cigarette shag, dried sausage, paprika powder. Fruity onset, dried apricot, some apple peel, minerally carbonation, full body; bread-crusty and rusk-like maltiness under strong earthy, leafy hop bitterness, wormwoody and grapefruity in a dried, ‘old spice rack’ kind of way, spreading over the tongue’s root without becoming too severe, so that the malts and fruity esters make their way well into the finish too. Apparently intended as a nod to the English origins of IPA but feeling much more like a hop-forward saison; interesting one, in any case, enjoyed it and would love to revisit in more ideal tasting circumstances.

Cloudy bright reddish to orange beer, small creamy white head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: vegetables, sorrel, spicy, herbal, oregano. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: acidic, pretty bitter as well, spicy notes, vegetables, oregano. Aftertaste: pretty weird, a little dirty even, fruity touch, tomato sauce (that oregano again I guess?), very special. A bit too much maybe.

Cloudy orange beer, big fizzy creamy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: soapy, fruity touch, grains, hay, cow fodder, dry and floral notes as well. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, some rye maybe, a bit of caramel. Aftertaste: malty finish, grains, hay, cow fodder, nice bitterness, dry finish, spicy and grassy, a little soapy too.

Dorée/orange, col fin blanc-cassé.
Arôme sur un bouquet houblonné noble fin, peu d'impact de cette base IPA qui garde plus des éléments houblonnés nobles avec une signature de base française saison/bière garde.
Palais est sur un malté classique, petite touche épicée de seigle qui renforce le caractère rustique, malt plus sur une base pils/pâle, houblonné noble finement herbacé et terreux.
