Description
It was in 1973 that the adventure of the "Au Baron" brewery began. Alain Bailleux then purchased the last bistro in the village there. There he meets Danielle who will become his wife. Together, they embark on small catering. Later, Alain and his father, retired master brewer, challenge each other; create a craft brewery. This will be done on June 8, 1989 when Gussignies inaugurated the village brewery with Saint-Médard, a beer inspired by the farm-breweries of yesteryear. For a few years now, Florence and Xavier have taken over the reins of the family business and continue to make the Baron prosper by adding a local store where you can buy beers and products from local producers.

Wow, the 4th check-in. Au Baron has had a few new saisons this year which I find a cause for celebration. Just as good as I would expect from them. Floral, citrusy , apparently brewed with lemon leaves. Funky, fresh, pretty darn classic saison.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Malty, floral, subtle citrus, spicy hints. Taste: Wheat malt base, yeasty, floral, some mint, subtle lemon amd orange zest, spicy hints. Medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate sweet, light bitterness and sourness. Dry-ish finish. A nice collab overall.

Bottle. Color: Very hazy orange amber, large white head. Aroma: Hoppy, some citrus and stone fruit, floral. Taste: Floral hop, spicy Saison yeast, subtle fruity notes of citrus fruit and stone fruit. Medium body, below average carbonation. Long lasting floral hop and spicy finish. Nice.

Almost clear copper amber colour, white foam. Very fruity, lots of plums, woody, peppery and herbal notes. Great fruited saison.

75cl Fles van Etre Gourmet. Wederom een enorme gusher. Mistig goudgele kleur, witte kraag. Licht grassig, bloemig, droog, hint van citroenschil, tarwe, heeft het zalvende van een klassiek droog witbier, mooie lichte Saison met een goeie body.

75cl Fles van Etre Gourmet. Komt zeer enthousiast de fles uit. Troebel lichtgele kleur, witte kraag. Droog, bloemig, lavendel, hint van honing, klein beetje funky, tikje vanille, vers witbrood, fris, bittere finish. Lichte body, glad mondgevoel, flink veel smaak voor het alcoholpercentage.

Draught at Sibeeria Taproom, small creamy head, light hazy yellow colour, some eaters, bubblegum, spiciness, a bit of waffle ,medium herbal bitterness, dry but with a bit of sweetness lingering. Nice classic saison.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata, mediamente torbida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso note di lieviti, fiori bianchi, spezie, erbe officinali. In bocca è morbida, leggermente abboccata all'attacco con chiusura secca, pulita, amaro contenuto. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Buona.
