Bottle. A bit too sweet, perhaps a bit too warming, but nice indeed. Very nice. Roasted malts, coffee, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, cinnamon. Delicious indeed. 849417 251129

This poured super thick. Big, thick coconut vibes all right, with a lot of barrel, and a splash of alcohol. Very good, because I like rich, sweet, coconutty stouts. Not the most complex and not a lot of umami, but those are minor quibbles.

375ml (thx, Terry M.!) @ Ryan's.
Aroma: coconut bomb with roasted coconut dominating.
Taste: very thick and sweet, a lot of toasted coconut.
Overall: it's like a liquid toasted coconut candy. It went over the edge IMHO.

Poured from 375mL bottle (2023 vintage; 15% abv). Very dark brown with no head. Lots of coconut and rye barrel with underlying cocoa and bourbon notes. Enjoyable.

750mL bottle at LC Member party, 1/17/25.
Inky, oily black. No head.
Smells like green pepper broth. That's a lot of green pepper. An hour later some of it has burned off, leaving rich dark chocolate and moderate roast.
Less given to the green pepper in flavor, though it's still there. Body held up well with a gentle kiss of syrup but has dried out nicely. Rich chocolate and roast notes, very fruity. No alcohol and only light to moderate barrel character.

Bottle shared by my brother - cheers! Purchased from BrewDog Castlegate. It pours like motor oil... darkest brown to black with limited head. The aroma is heady and decadent filth, super dark roasted malts, bitter - sweet, vanilla, coconut cream, bounty bar, kendal mint cake, marzipan, heady bourbon vibes, warming spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, loads of chocolate, fudgey, lamington cake, maple glazed donut, some umami, burnt toffee and liquorice allsorts. The taste is slick, oily, unctuous, decadent, thick cakey malts, bitter - sweet, dark roasted malt, toothy, chewy, warming booze, vanilla fudge, coconut cream, big bourbon vibes, warming, boozey, cinnamon, loads of bourbon, bourbon soaked oak, tree bark, dark chocolate torte, nuttiness, praline, pecan pie and a touch of tannin with a drying, dark roasted finale. Full body, soft carbonation and oily mouth feel. Rich and decadent. Sweet, yes but restrained / balanced. Not usually my kind of going, but this is a very good example.
