Draft at Bad Wolf Center St location. Poured a hazy dark yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light smoky roasted apricots. There is some light berry in there, with a little bit of berry tartness. Easy to drink. Decent.

Draft pour at Spacebar. Poured a mostly clear, dark yellow color wit ha small off-white head. Aroma was really mellow. Some light smoke notes, light sweet lemon, Citrus. Wasn't sure if this would be good since the smoke can always be too powerful in these, but it looks like they masked it pretty well.

Draft at Spacebar. Poured a nearly pitch black color with a small tan head. Not a super huge coffee presence here. Didn't get a whole lot of whiskey either. Some chocolate, roast is minimal. Light cold press taste.

Super hazy copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, soapy off-white head, about six centimetres tall. Aroma of very resinous and slightly piney hop notes with a lot of bitterness around, and even some bitterness from the malts, which add a sticky element and show some caramelised sugar notes near the end as well along with the astringency. Medium-bodied; Slightly piney flavour with more of a sticky malt character showing a ton of earthiness and an almost toasted note coupled with some more of the hops, this time showing a slightly resinous and herbal/woodsey flavour. Aftertaste shows some moderate complexity, mostly from the malts and sugars and much less so from the hops, which are relatively straight-forward. Overall, a nice-ish IPA that shows some sides that make it good, but some others, like the complexity/palate that show a substandard IPA. Nice to try, but much better beers in this price-point and even from this area [now] that are better to try than this. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Costco in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 13-August-2017 for US$7,99 sampled at home in Washington on 18-October-2017.

Somehow I missed the beer I brought to my own RB tasting, so I saw this and bought a second one. Poured a cola color, small wispy head, if you can call that. Smooth toffee, caramel, smooth. Some dried fruits. Warming alcohol, not harsh at all. This bottle at least was pretty good.

$2.90 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a soft white head. Aroma of lime zest and dust. Flavor is lime juice, zest, and peel. Salty cracker finish. Tart, but not bitingly so. Good, refreshing, light, crisp.

$8.79 bomber, Wine Warehouse. Had never seen this one collecting dust on the shelf, so it immediately jumped out at me. Pours red with a small beige head. Aroma is tart cherry, hint of lemon zest, light caramel. Flavor is amazingly tart - lots of cherry, lemon zest, biscuit, cracker, burnt leaf. I’m just not getting into this one. EDITED TO ADD: I let this warm a bit and the flavor is VERY much like waking up to vomit. I can’t get behind this one.

$8.49 wax-sealed bottle (that is turning out to be a pain in the ass to open) from Wine Warehouse. Bottle says bourbon barrel aged: will look into if this is a separate entry or if all were. Pours very murky brown with a soft beige head. Aroma is plum, vanilla, bourbon, sour fruit. Flavor is strong sweet dark fruit, bourbon, earth, vanilla, overripe peach., caramel, bitter grape. This is strong & complex. Nice work.
