Growler at RBWG ’15 Grand Tasting @ Coppertail, thanks to Dr Owl for this special #, 21/02/15. Clear light golden with little in the way of a covering. Nose is pale malt, grain, light citrics, straw, vanilla. Taste comprises pale malt, grain, lemon, cereals, semi sweet notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok ML only a tease of a boost though !

Growler shared during the RBWG 2015 Grand Tasting. What an honour to drink this - thanks, Dr. Owl! Pours hazy yellow with a foamy white head. Dusty pale wood in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with sugary white bread, plain white table sugar. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish but reasonably well balanced, with touches of tangerine meringue. Nice one.

Bottle shared during the RBWG 2015 Grand Tasting. Big thanks to Dr. Owl for this gem. Pours murky yellow with a white foam heading. Some woody notes in the nose, a bit of cheap white bread. Medium sweet flavor with simple sugary pale malts, some honey, caramel. Medium bodied and finely carbonated. Sugary pale bread finish with vague citrus notes. A real treat.

Bottle split at #arch, thanks to Niall, 21/03/15. Light black is a decent tan covering. Nose is tangy dark fruits, spice, chocolate, light wood, sour berry edge. Taste comprises cocoa powder, spice, light charr, tangy red berry, oaky wood. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Lower end for style, fairly easy drinker with a woody barrel edge drinking well below the ABV but on the other hand lacking depth.

rbwg2015. Courtesy of drowland, thanks Danny. It pours with a hazy peach to gold body that supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up loads of oak and then heading into smooth cherry and mild tart tannin like odors. The taste has a nice modest cherry sensation that’s blended with oak and earthy citrus fruit. This comes across pretty nice as the apple – honey – booze – pear sugary esters are off banging around in the background where there are three tubas just sitting there. What

75cl Bottle shared by Niall73, thanks! Black colour, off-white head. Aroma seems to be slightly off, infected, coffee, roasted malts, oak. Flavour is of thin coffee, light sourness, oak, cinnamon, bitter finish. It’s not completely ruined, but it certainly isn’t great. Light-bodied, watery. 10%?!

Bottle thanks to Niall. Black lasting tan head. Ok imperial stout. Some soy sauce. Quite thin really. Ok. Not malty enough for me.

Bottle shared in Bermondsey - thanks to Niall. Pours deep black-brown with a frothy beige head. The nose has some dark fruits, mugged roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with burnt toast, light charcoal, dried leathery berries, grapes. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with more lightly tangy dark fruits, earthy hops. So so.

Bottle shared during the RBWG 2015 Grand Tasting. Pours brown with a foamy tan head. Not great, really. Some mild tang, toasted bread. A hearty dose of tangy wood. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with tangy dark malts and wood, some smoke. Awkward.
