Draught at the brewery, St Petersburg. Very dark brown with a film of off-white/beige head and considerable lacing. Piney aroma, big black malt, chocolate grapefruit peel. Bitter, bitter finish with pink grapefruit and pine shining out. Full body with medium to heavy carbonation. Lovely stuff if maybe a little too much harsh malt for my ideal CDA.

16oz. can from Luekens Liquors, Seminole. Pour is orangish yellow and slightly hazy. Floral IPA nose, not much if any orange in the olfactory. Whew, first slug is big sharp bitter, perhaps some bitter ass orange peel but mostly uncivilized astringent IPA. Difficult. In the middle, its just plain old irritating. Mind you, I'm not an IPA lover so take it with a grain of salt, whew. If I don't like it, it probably means IPA lovers will really like it. Yes, big ass bitter astringent phenolic hops make this a terribly one sided rude ass beer. Orange? What orange? Can't find it. Did I say whew yet? Just asking. Whew. At least I'm getting a little bit of co2 which makes the mouth coating aspect of strong IPA a little less.

16oz. can from Luekens Liquors, Seminole. Golden orange and clear with a tiny bit of white head. Light fresh orange oil in the aroma. Sweet taste, malty caramel notes with a crowning halo of orange encircling the finish. Bitterness after. Medium carbonation. I’m quite fond of this.

16oz. can from Luekens Liquor, Seminole, FL. Mid-golden and mostly clear with the tiniest swirl of white head. Low to non-existent aroma with a hint of honey and caramel. Decent taste with a moreish bready sweetness followed by a long bitter finish. Light body, with carbonation on the heavy side. OK.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy reddish-copper color with a large khaki head and great retention. Great lacing too. Sweet malt aroma. Strong caramel malt flavor with a smooth and crisp finish. True to the American Marzen style. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness. Good beer.

Draft: Poured a bright yellow with a white head. Aroma is faint passionfruit, apples. Taste is similar in where the passionfruit shows up just enough to break up apple.
