Draft at the brewery bar. Pours oily black with a foamy brown head. Lots of scorched malts in the nose, dark fruits, chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with hearty ashy roast, bittersweet cocoa, burnt meat, dried dark fruits, earthy hops. Full bodied, oily and very chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with lots of charred wood, baking cocoa, some salty burnt meat, scorched earth, raisins, prunes. Pretty dynamic. Good stuff.
