Description
Founded in December 2013 by a team of local Floridians, Saltwater Brewery is Delray Beach's first local production microbrewery, with tasting room and beer garden on sight. Using only pure and natural ingredients, each style of handcrafted beer and corresponding name is inspired by the ocean to reflect the lifestyle and passion of the Founders. Saltwater’s goal is to maintain the world’s greatest wonder by giving back through ocean based charities (CCA, Surfrider, Ocean Foundation, MOTE) and the Edible Six Pack Rings. Over 12 styles are typically available in the tasting room, while Screamin’ Reels IPA, Sea Cow Milk Stout and LocAle, are distributed in cans and on tap throughout the state of Florida. Packaging is done on-site with the brewery’s in-house canning line, as well as their new in-line labeler for seasonal and special releases.
Our passion for making quality beer for you is the way we can ensure we give back to the ocean as much as possible! Come with us to "Explore the Depths of Beer". Cheers!

Draft at Saltwater Brewery. Poured a clear yellow color with a fizzy yellow head. Not much aroma, but it did have a delicious mango flavor, with a really nice peppery note finish. Nice spicy character that lingers quite a bit but isn't overwhelming. Delicious and a good balance between the heat from the beer and the lower ABV. Not for someone who doesn't like a little heat.

Taster consumed at Saltwater Brewery. Sweet caramel and toffee. Rich and complex, with notes of dark fruit, toasted nuts, and a pleasant boozy warmth. A beautifully crafted barleywine that's worth savoring slowly. The aging process has given it a wonderful depth of flavor. Nice job on this 5-year aged barley wine!

Can from ABC in Cape Coral enjoyed at home. Pours a hazy bright yellow with a decent sized head that slowly recedes. Old school feel with a firm bready caramel malt backbone. Citrus and pine with plenty of bitterness to balance.

Can (5/11/22) pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! It's a hazy dark orange-light brown with nice sparkle, 2-finger off-white foamy head with fair retention and light lacing. Aroma is caramel malts, dank woods/pine. Taste is strong dank, resiny pine, milder grapefruit and citrus over caramel malts. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a tribute to the West Coast style for sure. Not where I am these days but they got what they were shooting for.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a very large off-white head and excellent retention. Spots of lacing. Lots of streaming bubbles. Light citrus aroma. Tastes like a light golden ale with very tart citrus juice added. Very crisp mouthfeel. Not bad but just a little too tart for me.
