12 oz. can from Total Wine - Melbourne. Pours a semi clear deep gold color with an off white head and great retention. Light lacing. Bready malt aroma. Bready malt flavor to match the nose. Soft carbonation. Medium+ body. Clean and smooth. Very repeatable. Excellent example of the style.

12 oz. can from Total Wine - Melbourne. Pours an opaque applesauce color with no head and no lacing. Sour fruit aroma. Sour fruit flavor matches the aroma. I don't taste any coconut. Sour fruit juice. This is crap, not beer. No normal person likes sour fruit pretending to be beer. Tick.

ABV: 12.4%. Clear dark amber black colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coconut, vanilla, alcohol - bourbon. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, roasted, chocolate, coconut, bourbon, barrel - vanilla, light spicy nuts (assume it's the macadamia nuts), fruit - berry - blackcurrant notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210412]

ABV: 12.5%. Clear dark black brown colour with a large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roaste, chocolate, cocoa, coconut, bourbon, marshmallow, vanilla, barrel - tobacco. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, coconut, bourbon, barrel, light marshmallow. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210411]

Taster at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of chocolate, bit boozy, whisky, vanilla, toffee, light figs, light oxidation. nice to very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes rather sweet, sherry, bit sticky, light soy sauce, some figs, some vanilla, very subtle booze. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of soy sauce, figs and some bitter chocolate. pretty nice one, a tad too sweet for me, also a tad too boozy and bit too much soy sauce, but overall very good one.
Can. A black beer with a beige head. Aroma of sweet dark chocolate malt, vanilla and bourbon. Taste of sweet strong dark malt, chocolate, Bourbon, vanilla. Good.
Proof berliners never disappoint, I think, nice lime and raspberry for sure.
