Shared bottle at ExABC thanks to Maakun! Black with creme head. Ash burnt non-sweet chocolate malts. Ash, woodchip, licorice. Very light sweet medium bitter. Under medium body, fine grainy texture. Bottle shared at former ABC beers. Black with quite big creamy beige head. Lots of roasted malts, light ash, sugary, dry mineral notes, burnt toast. Under medium sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied with dry feel. The dry and sweet tastes don’t really match unfortunately.

From bottle at Café Brecht, Amsterdam, 17.02.16. Pale golden. Foamy, dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma of citrus and fresh tropical fruits, with a hint of CP. Citrus and tropical fruits in medium bitter taste and aftertaste. Refreshing.

At a tasting, thanks, smallish head, opaque extremely dark brown color, aroma of charred wood, fresh chopped wood and dark bread, vanila and dark chocolate flavor, quite bitter. Nice but much too plain.

Fles gedeeld @Benzai’s Carnaval Tasting. +1 voor de wrap rond de fles, schenkt zwart met bruine kraag. aroma van melkchocolade, toffee, koffie, mout. smaken van koffie, melkchocolade, geroosterde mout, volmoutig, matig zoet, licht bitter, laurier, vanille, matige body, redelijk co2, zoetige afdronk.

Bottle @ Don’t want anything to do with carnaval tasting. Opaque dark brown color, medium sized beige to light brown head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, brown sugar, liquorice. Lightly dry finish, decent to medium body and quite soft carbonation. Not bad.

Bottle @ benzai’s carnaval. Black colour with a small beige head. Smells liquorice, roasty, molasses, wiebertjes, laurier. Tastes very sweet, wiebertjes, laurel, liquorice. Medium body, soft carbo.
