A can at Old Faithful in Yellowstone NP. Overly bitter amber ale, very unbalanced, not sure what they were going for. Should have left it, but strict rules about leaving foodstuffs available for bears. Not recommended.

Can at Endo’s, thanks to Frank himself, 09/11/14. Clear golden amber with a decent off white covering that retains well. Nose is bitter citric peel, hops, light pine needle, straw. Taste comprises caramel malt, spice, dank hop strokes, bitter tropicana, orange pith, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA.

Draft at the Montana Brwers Fest in Missoula. Cloudy golden color, thick white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of damp grass. Taste is bitter, earthy, almost dank. Tasty.

Tap. Pours hazy gold, large white creamy head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is dank Passionfruit, grapefruit, spruce. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, dank, a but of pot, lots of spruce tips. Not harsh, despite the aggressive bitterness. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This one is solid.

Tap. Pours hazy pale golden, medium white head, dissipates fairly quickly leaving plenty of residual and nice lacing. Aroma is pretty standard wheat and lemon. Flavor is minimally sweet, very light tart, wheat, a bit of lemon, tart apple. Light body, high carbonation, a bit minerally, like soda water. Meh.
