Draft at #2. Cloudy, almost murky, amber color. Aroma of meaty burnt bacon. Taste has just enough smoke, not too much, with a hefty malt background. Not bad.

On tap at Black Turtle Pub IV. Dark amber/orange with a small head. Slightly tart aroma and taste of grapefruit, bread, grass and herbs. Not that bitter. A strange beer with almost no hops.

On tap at Black Turtle Pub IV. Dark brown with a small head. Aroma and taste of light roasted malt, light coffee, something that reminded of medicine and some fruit. Light bitterness in this one. An ok beer.

On tap at Black Turtle Pub IV, May 2014. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma and taste of grass, some corn and butter. Simple and with a low bitterness. Drinkable but nothing to write home about.

Draught at Black Turtle (Kosancicev Venac 30), Belgrade. Almost clear dark amber, creamy head. Floral fruity hop aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Light floral, hay-like hops, a bit of sugar. Mid bitter finish.

Thanks Matea for bringing this from Belgrade! Deep hazy golden body with medium sized head. Weak citrus aroma, no cloves or Belgian yeastness. Flavor was slightly sweet, some yeast, apple notes, lightly acidic. Thin to medium bodied with shorter acidic finish. Nothing much here, nor particularly interesting. A bit off, since bought more than 10 days ago, but still wouldn’t be much better the day it went out of tap.

Ugly dull brown and hazy. Aroma of phenols and light smoke. Phenols dominate the smoke. The malts aren’t very characterful.

Cloudy purple. Thick purple head. Massive blueberry nose, pulpy and natural. Thick, sweet, creamy with quite a bit of blueberry taste, real berry.

Dark brown and cloudy. The aroma has lots of phenols, overwhelming the light chocolate. Decent body and light chocolate notes but again there is massive nail polish remover phenols just messing with this beer.

Slightly hazy dull straw. The aroma is fairly strong diacetyl with herbal hops, possibly saaz. The taste is more of that diacetyl with a hint of bitterness...just way too much butter.
