Description

330ml bottle from Chez Marie, Ieper. Pours hazy gold, good white head. Moderately sweet Belgian blonde yeast. Taste is smooth, not hugely flavoursome, certainly not in typical Tripel territory, more like a standard Belgian blonde of this strength in my view.

33cl bottle: BBD June 17. Poured into a Leffe badged chalice at home on 21st Feb 17. A little sediment left the bottle and it clouded what otherwise have been a clear golden blonde body, the head a smooth blanket of snow white bubbles. Why does Belgian beer yeast smell so different to everyone else’s? The taste is semi-sweet with a banana flavour (wheat in here somewhere? Nothing mentioned on the ingredients list). Really liked it, drank it slowly and savoured the taste and aroma.
