In 2011 slaan biologische hopboer Joris Cambie en brouwer Kris Langouche de handen in elkaar. De familie Cambie teelt dan al generaties lang hop op de Poperingse velden en schakelt in 1997 al over op biologische teelt. Reden genoeg voor Joris en Kris om samen, op het hopbedrijf van Joris, een artisanale brouwerij te stichten. Het begin van De Plukker en zijn unieke verhaal! Dit is immers het enige hopbedrijf in België met een eigen brouwerij (brasserie à la ferme). Hier worden uitsluitend bieren gebrouwen met eigen hop. Alle bieren zijn dus ook bio-gecertificeerd.

Sampled at BAB 2016. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours rather unclear amber, small white head, unintense , bit bitter scent. Taste is sharp, grainy, sweet hops, not very bitter though. Nice, mild fruity back.

Sampled at BAB 2016. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is dry, malty. Taste is sharp, malts, bitter, indeed easy drinkable. OK carbo, nicely balanced.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ Bierfestival Brugge 2016.Thank you for sharing people! Hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Nose is massive moldy yeast, sugar, low floral qualities, heavy yeasty, very faint green hop. Dull fizzy & boozy plaster body and taste,… Lots of plaster yeast, dough, white sugar, hay & more yeast, industrial almost. I partially defended the 2014 iteration but this is just fizzy yeasty excess in faulty Belgian fashion. Only some faint hop covered in moldy yeast in the smell which is lost in the taste.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ Bierfestival Brugge 2016. Thank you for sharing! Hazy orange with little off-white head. Nose is heavy plaster dough, dull sugar, really heavy old & plaster yeast; Taste is white sugar & dull plaster, fizzy herbs, sugar banana, weird dough, white pepper hay. Body is fizzy banana plaster & yeast. Excessive taste of yeast & some dull fizzy banana & white sugar notes. Pointless for me even for a yeasty tripel.

Fast klare orange goldene Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, kaum hopfig, Karamell. Geschmack sehr hopfig, bitter, grasig, Karamell.

Fast klare goldene Farbe, mittelgroße weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch süß malzig, helle Früchte, getreidig. Geschmack süß malzig getreidig, leicht hopfig, nett!

Leicht trübes dunkel goldgelbes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch mild hopfig, helle Früchte, leicht floral. Geschmack süß malzig, fruchtig hopfig, Bonbons.

750ml bottle, picked up at Delices & Caprices, Brussels, and shared at home with the missus. Cloudy, deep orange. Thin, dense, sticky, off white head. Looks great. Nose has spicy, ginger biscuit malts. Fresh, green hop, as you’d expect. It’s a bit honeyed and buttery though, and I can’t help thinking, "why goldings?". Taste is soft sweet. Light, floral bitterness. Nice, soft, massaging palate. Finishes soft bitter, and overall too sweet for me.

Pours a bit unclear, amberblonde. OK white head. Smell is bit bitter, yeasty. taste is bitter ( very bitter, to my surprise ) Not to much actual hoparoma, very yeasty. Ok MF and carbo. nothing to rememorable, yet not bad.
