Tap. Pours crystal clear straw yellow, medium creamy white head, good lacing. Aroma is grain, bread, grass, noble hop, hint of lemon. Flavors is light sweet, light bitter. Light body, soft mouthfeel, clean finish. A bit low on bitterness for the style, but very pleasant.

Poured from a can. Hazy, Brilliant gold with a medium head. Smoky nose of wheat, plus typical weizen esters and cloves, light bananas. Crisp and light but very flavorful, nice smoke but not too much, super refreshing. Excellent.

Can pour. Pale gold with a low head. Slightly doughy nose, melon hops, touch of banana. Soft, sweet malt, estery, bit yeasty like a kellerbier. Spicy, peppery finish. Like the hops, the yeast less.

Exactly what you want in a hefeweizen: light but with enough body to carry the front of honey, banana, and clove through to the finish, underlined by bread-and-lemon yeastiness and a grassy/floral bitterness carrying into the fade. Gorgeous hazed gold pour with a massive white cap and endless lacing. Bright and bubbly and crisp; i.e. a delightful pint. Sets the standard for what an American hefeweizen can be.

Can from Mr Bond, thanks for schlepping this from TX for us. Brilliantly clear dark yellow with a thin but long lasting bubbly white head. Crackery pilsner maltiness with floral spicy hops in spades. Very nice beer!
