Draft - Chocolate and roast malts. Jet black with a creamy beige head. Chocolate bad coffee with a bit of burnt roast. Nitro makes it very rich on the tongue. Not bad.

Draft - Sweet lemon and grapefruit with a bit of fresh hop. Pale gold with a rich white head. Nice fresh hop bitterness, lemon grass and a clean finish. Very nice pale ale.

~ 16 ounce draft at the Triple 7 Brewpub at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. Listed simply as VIPA on the board. I noticed there were multiple listings on the site, as well as references to "Variable IPA" and "Vegas IPA". I will put the rating in the simple VIPA listing, as it was certainly not the Belgian version. The pour is a hazed copper orange, with a small off white head. The aroma is lightly bitter leafy hops, along with some floral, and toasted malt in the back. The taste is the nose, nice integration of the clean hop expression and the toasted malt. The palate is medium bodied, dry lightly bitter finish, and a lingering clean cracker malt. Nice beer, my favorite of the 7 Triple 7 pints I tried.

~ 16 ounce draft at the Casino Bar at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is an amber with a smallish slightly off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, along with a grassiness. The taste is the malt sweetness, touch of a an apple fruit sweetness, and the grassiness in the finish. A nuttiness also comes out as the beer warms. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft carbonation, and a cleanish dry finish. Decent, easy enough to drink.

~ 16 ounce draft at the Casino Bar at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is a lightly hazed orange yellow with a small off white head. The aroma is fresh toasty malt and soft floral hops. The taste is a great blend of the light toast mildly sweet malt and the floral light grapefruit citrus hops. The palate is medium to light bodied, with fine carbonation and a dry lightly bitter finish. This was a subdued version of a Pale Ale but the balance and freshness made the beer work. I enjoyed this, clean and tasty.

16 ounce draft at the Triple 7 Brewpub at the Main Street Station, Las Vegas, Nevada. The pour is a clear golden brown, with a smallish off white head. The aroma is light floral, nutty caramel malt, and a slight hint of grass. The taste is the nutty caramel sweetness, followed by a bit of the grass and finishing with cereal grain. The floral is present, along with herbal in the aftertaste. The palate is medium bodied, a lower carbonation level, and a dry mineral herbal finish. Clean, nice Oktoberfest.
