Sample at Black Bear Saloon in BDL. The beer pours a clear amber color with a thin off-white head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Grainy malt and hops in the nose. Light body with flavors of toasted malt, hops and caramel. The finish is sweet with a bready malt aftertaste. Average overall.

Thanks to Travlr. I always wanted a blonde on blonde and now I got it. Aroma was very light toasted malt notes, sweetness. Flavor had some lght malts. Touch metalic, but better than my initial smell.

Bottle from Julio’s. clody golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of citursybgrass, subtle white pepper. Taste is peppery straw. Tasted side by side with some Hookers, it just seemed appropriate. Thomas Hooker, that is.

Bottle at Tony’s, thanks to Tony or DW I believe, 19/05/13. Clear reddish amber with a thin beige head. Nose is toffee, biscuit, mineral notes. Taste comprises caramel malt, straw, bread dough, biscuit bite, light fruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A truly ’whelming’ beer, assume the classic formation 6-3-6-3-12!

Purchased at Craft Beer Cellar in Belmont, MA, enjoyed at my quaint B&B in Boston. Happy to have finally found a place that had a CT beer! Appearance is a slightly cloudy gold with a thin frothy white head. Aroma has a light pine hop smell with a crisp malt backing, smells nice. Taste is pretty good, goes down slightly crisp but also with a good bitterness. There's nothing exceptional about this, but it's pretty solid.

12 oz. bottle thanks to Waterbury. Served at cellar temperature. Nice looking beer. ¼ thick head white head sitting on a mostly clear amber liquid. Nose is lightly fruity with a bit of toffee. Great taste of light molasses, toffee and a fruity hop. Not bitter at all. The finish is very clean and short. Hops do give a light spice in the flavor. This is not your standard amber / English pale. It is really a nice brew that you could have many in a session.

Draft @ brewpub. Pint glass. Small, thin white head. Nose of citrus hops. Flavor is a standard, classic IPA. Grapefruit, malty backbone with a slight resin in the back end of the sip. Not complex in any format but.... still enjoyable. Tad above average. Balanced just right.
