Bottle. Rubyish amber colour with beige head. Aroma is syrup, toffee and some mild roasted notes. Flavour is roasted malts along with some mild coffee, smoked wood and a bit of hops. Also quite sweet. Big sweet caramel malty as well as roasted finish and aftertaste. Really pleasant schwarzbier.

bottle. Golden yellow, lovely creamy white head. Hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied Bohemian Pilsener with pleasant Saaz hops and malty flavours. Bitter-malty character, not as malty and sweet as some Czech Pilseners. Well-balanced, fantastic intensive hoppyness in the lingering finish.

Interessantes Bier! Test vom 11.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,11,12,11,7,12 - 11,45

Bottled. A golden beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, and so is the flavor.

Test vom 30.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,7,6,4,7,6 - 6,00

Malzig-getreidiger, chemisch erscheinender Antrunk. Hintergründig getreidig ist das Bier auch im Mittelteil, eine herbe Note, die an ein Alkoholfreies erinnert, steht im Vordergrund, nicht gerade angenehm. Getreidig-scharfer Abgang, hopfig-bittere Endnote. Test vom 25.10.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,4,5,4,10,4 - 5,05

Bottle: Golden coloured, firm medium-sized head with a little lace, visible carbonation, moderate malt accented aroma: sweet-malt with an almost caramelly touch and a tinge of unfermented fresh wort, shy hops in the wings; solid sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied, good malty base detectable; sweet-malt and aromatic hops in the slightly lingering finish. Very good, very tasty Desitka ! P.S. When I read the impressions of my esteemed co-raters, I guess I got a 12° with a wrong label on the bottle............

Bottle: Golden, visible carbonation, small loose head, slowly diminishing; rich sweet-malty nose, almost with traces of toasted malt, plus a good amount of aromatic hops; solid bitter-sweet flavour, good malty base detectable, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering bitter-sweet malty finish. A fine archetypal Bohemian Pilsener, well balanced.........

Draught at BBF07. Mild, bready aroma. Dark brown colour. OK creamy light brown head. The flavour is slightly sweet and OK roasted. 6 3 6 3 13

Draught at the brewery’s tap. Mild sweetish and malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour starts off quite roasted. Has a little sourness, a bit farmyard as well. Good rye bread flavour. The sourness is not so good, but balances off the sweetness. The bread flavour is good, though. 6 3 6 3 14
