16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Fresh canning date. Unclear golden color, very light white head. Aroma is a lot of grassy hints, tropical fruit and light scallion.
The flavor is a exact reflection of the aroma. Plenty of fruit with a lot of fruit and floral hop flavor. The bitterness is moderate with some light balance from the pale grain. Nice construction of this brew, tasty.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a glossy burnt yellow color. Nice haze with a nice carbonation seen rising at a moderate pace. Sticky lace follows after a mellow finger’s worth of white foamy head.
The smell starts off with a bright full bittersweet citrusy chock full of hops. Nice level tropical fruits slide in underneath.
The flavor brings the tropical sweetness forward just a bit more than the bittersweet portion of the citrusy hops. Me, I don’t mind that - I get it, no worries. Semi-sticky citrusy aftertaste, light semi-sweet dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a great sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good. Moderate bitter harshness beats at my tongue, feels good for the most part.
Overall, damn nice AIPA. Definitely would have again.

Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Milk chocolate and cream aromas. Medium bodied with spicy latte and chocolate upfront turning to peppered espresso in the lasting finish.

Bomber from Julio’s Liquors. Label reads bottled October 2015, always appreciate the bottle dating. Pitch black color with head that died very fast. Aroma is deep vanilla beans, roasted grain and hints of hot peppers.
Roasted grain backbone with a leaner body for an imperial stout. What I do enjoy is the hot/ spicy peppers help balance the sweet chocolate, vanilla bean and sugar in this stout. So overall the Mexican hot chocolate theme works here. The scotch bonnet pepper never gets overwhelming and helps cut the sweetness. I do wonder if they used lactose sugar in this stout because after all not everyone can have lactose. Will I be sitting on porcelain later this evening??

The bottle was purchased at One Stop Market. Bottled June 2015. Cloudy good in color, lasting bubbly head. Aroma is grapefruits, mild grass clippings and hints of tropical fruit.
The flavor has a solid amount of grapefruit pith, tropical fruit through the center with moderate bitterness, perhaps because of its age. However, not overly sweet or overly malty. The body is medium with dry-ish texture. For the age this bottle is really has held up well. I pretty impressed!

22 oz. bottle purchased at One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Date on label reads July 2015.Color is a hazy golden straw with lasting head retention. Aroma has a large amount of black pepper and citrus peel.
Flavor is a direct reflection of the aroma. Very minor malt balance with a chewy yeast feeling in the mouth. Citrus upfront for me with a ton of black pepper and spicy hops in the finish. All the spice turns the texture dry with a near cotton mouth character. I don’t dislike it nor do I really like it either. Kind of very middle of the road for my palate.

Sunset Grill, Boston tap: pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is candied sugar and a hint of fruit. Taste is lightly sweet. Very simple and there aint really much to it. Not bad.

Draft at Sunset Grill & Tap. Cloudy gold, thin lasting head. Not much for the aroma, very mild yeast and a touch of fruit. Nothing off with the flavor but it simply just not much here: hay, dusty yeast and very light black pepper or zesty yeast hints. Mouthfeel is soft. Pretty simple.

Moderately hazy bright orange-golden with a full, white head that slowly recedes to cover.
Mostly hops in the nose, some a bit heavily citric but otherwise a good amount of fruitiness, with some earthy edges and lightly sweet pale malts that help to balance. No alcohol in the nose, nor flaw. No one really had a good description for what this was and so without knowing what to expect, there are some minimal Belgian notes but it’s mostly a fruity, hoppy golden ale.
Medium attenuation leaves behind some sticky, sweet malts which soak up the citric, lightly piney bitterness. Heavily fruity (cherries, apples, limes) with some dry, bready malts on the finish, no alcohol and no flaws. Not overly memorable, though passable and very much in the vein of the American hopped "saisons" that Pretty Things Jack D’Or seemed to have ushered on. Moderate carbonation, some creaminess to the texture, fruitiness and citric bitterness lingering.

Pours hazy gold into a tulip. Off-white soapy head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet caramel and tropical fruit aromas. Thick with sourdough and hot caramel upfront turning to tangerine before the lasting grapefruit pith finish.
