Draft at Woodstock Inn Brewery in North Woodstock, NH. Clear amber with a tiny white head. Fair lacing. Good and smooth. Not very flavorful but I like the flavor that's there.

Can from Candia Rd Slightly hazy light golden color with a small bubbly white head that quickly recedes. Earth and pine and a hint of metal and butter. Not horrible, I’ve had worse Woodstock beers.

Can from Candia Rd Brilliantly clear medium golden color with a decent sized but short lived bubbly white head. Citrus pine and butterscotch dominate the nose for me. The flavor isn’t much better. Not sure why I keep trying this brewery, I guess I’d love it if I had a higher threshold for detecting diacetyl.

The appearance was a ruddy burnt golden color with a finger’s worth of stable white foamy head, ended up dissipating pretty quick.
The aroma had a decent blend of sweet to spicy rye components glossing a little bit of sweet floral dry hop qualities. Little wood and slight earthiness.
The flavor leaned towards the rye initially and recovered the earthiness fairly nice. The aftertaste and finish were towards the rye aspects, somewhat sweet yet bitter, sly spiciness.
The feel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Sturdy carbonation and the ABV felt good. Rye isn’t too harsh along my tongue.
Overall, that’s a fairly nice rye APA that I would have again.

Can from a Lazy Dog Mostly clear deep golden bordering on amber with a tightly bubbled off white head that persists. Caramel bread and light butterscotch with an earthy grassy hop aroma and flavor to counter. Not horrible but feels more like the 1990’s than a present day IPA,

16 oz. can. Fresh canning date of 1/13/17. Clear in orange / Amber type color. Aroma is light malty sweetness with herbal pine and grassy hops.
The flavor is just ok. The caramel / toffee sweetness background give the herbal pine / grassy/ scallion hops some balance. The 8 % ABV is not really hidden but doesn’t ruin anything. Overall just real average. I wish it had something that makes it standout. It doesn’t.

Can from A Lazy Dog Crystal clear deep golden bordering on amber with a huge frothy off white head that persists. Initially I got a hint of acetone on the nose, but luckily that went away. Big resin and pine almost hide the juice tropical fruity notes in here. Light sweet bread and a hint of ethanol round out the nose. The flavor is big pine and resinous hops with a fairly forward alcohol presence. Faint malt underneath and just a touch of higher alcohols. Not bad, at least its not too buttery, but for the price point (4.50 for 16oz) it should be knocking my socks off and it isn’t.
