Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange color with some small floaters and a large creamy orange-white that left some lacing. The aroma was nutty caramel with undertones of butterscotch, wood and vague tangy fruits. The flavor was sweetish nutty caramel and light fruity hops. Long finish, medium body. Decent.

From a bottle. Yea, fruity almost floral aroma, sweet like some flowers and olfactory goes cloying aftera few moments. Cloudy light iced tea color. Strong malty initial alky flavors. Smooth on the palate, very little co2. If this is a amber ale, its a little different fer sure. Difficult at times for this lager lover. Finish is a little tuff to deal with.

Bottle at Whistle Binkie’s in Rochester, MN. Pours opaque brown-black with a medium thick and fluffy tan head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet chocolate and roasted malt. Medium, creamy body with flavors of sweet malt, milk chocolate and mildly roasty coffee. 12oz bottle, says 8%. Deep opaque brown-black, big luscious rusty beige head. Smooth chocolate aroma. A really well done beer, very sweet and sugary. Big vanilla chocolate tones. The alcohol is impressively hidden. Roasty, mossy, some oily sweetness. Somewhat hollow, watery finish. Overall pretty solid beer.

Dark brown color. Moderately thick, but short head. No perceivable hop aroma or flavor, this is all malt. Lightly roasted grain with very mild bitternes. Good palate, and a little heavier than some of the other alts I have had. A fine session beer.

Citrusy hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrus and piney hops along with sweet malt and honey. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle: Dark brown with a thin tan head. Rich and sweent aroma of milk chocolate and light espresso notes. Maybe more of a mocha thing, I guess. Taste features a heavy roast component with lighter espresso and chocolate parts. Light bittersweetness in the tail. Simple and solid.

Draft at OF. Unfiltered amber-brown color. Solid sweet maltiness. Sugary and to style, a pretty nice Scotch. Touch of amber malt. Nice true Scottish malty flavor.
