Clear deep red-brown, beige head. Smells of burnt sugar, a little dark fudge, unpretentious but at least inoffensive. The taste is quite sweet, mostly burnt sugar, balanced by a winy tannic slightly pungent finish. No hops. Medium bodied, but just too sticky. Drinkable.

1L PET from a taproom. Like any other standard cvas - huge burnt sugar sweetness, spicy notes of rye. In case of Cogîlnic, the carbonation is almost flat - that is the only thing that sets it apart. OK, but too sweet.

25-SEP-2017. PET from the brewery. Almost clear deep gold, off-white head. The aroma is full of diacetyl, more like pork fat than butter, must be some yeast in there too. Some malt and grain in the background. The taste plain sugar/malț sweetness. And the there's butter. And the there dioxide. No hops. Not undrinkable, but certainly peculiar. 4-3-4-3-7=2,1

26-APR-2015. PET 50 CL. Golden witl a slight haze, white frothy head. Tons of "rustic" grains and some malts, butterscotch, oily, spicy-bitter and light astringent finish. Oohh... 3-2-4-2-7=1,8

29-OCT-2014. ON TAP. Head: white, small, frothy, poor retention. Colour: golden-amber, slightly hazy. Aroma: weak, grainy, dirty barrel. Taste: thin, yet harsh sulfury, very light bitterness, some CO2 acidity. 3-2-3-1-6=1,5
