I thought this was a pretty enjoyable IPA. Not a top of style example, but not a bad on either. Solid is really the right description for this one.

Aroma: The nose is peppery, with some underlying pale malts, and a bit of hop as well
Appearance: It pours a hazy golden color with a small white head that leaves almost no lace
Flavor: Pale malts and light hops, mild citrus, and a pepper presence that overrides everything else
Palate: The body is light-medium, with average-plus carbonation, and spicy finish
Overall Impression: I thought this one was okay, but the spice presence just seems to be a touch off, and doesn't quite achieve the desired balance that other, more successful, pepper beers achieve.

Crisp copper coloured body with a light white head, only about one centimetre tall. Aroma of pale malt, coriander seed, curacao, grass and tons of nutmeg. Light-bodied; Strong yeastie and spicey flavour with a very pungent twang of sourness and a crisp wheat flavour. Aftertaste is quite complex with some almost brett like flavours, some light orange and spicey flavour, a hint of grass and hay and a very nice sour twang. Overall, much better than I expected and a very nice interesting beer with great complexity and a flavour profile close enough to the style, but far enough away to make it interesting. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Half Time in Poughkeepsie, New York on 26-December-2012 for US$4.99 sampled at home in Washington on 04-May-2013.
