Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a minimal, white head. Malty-sweet nose with a fine fruityness. Also a faint whiff of raspberry. Malty-sweet flavor, yet it feels quite dry, with fruityness and a fine bitterness. Medium body and a pleasant carbonation. Bitter finish. A decent beer without flaws, but quite boring and too much on the sweet side. Like the bitterness though. (090228)

Bottled (Beerangel, BB 10/2009). Flip-top. Deep amber-red color, small white head. Light cardboardish aroma with notes of rubber and caramel. Crisp carbonation. Caramelly, toffeish maltyness with grassy hops in the flavor. Quite close to typical Märzen-style brew. Plain.

Bottle: Poured a deep clear Burgundy color with large off-white foamy head with good retention and good acing. Aroma of banana ester and some cloves with notes of sweet malt. Taste is a nice mix between some fruity ester of banana with light cloves and some sweet malt and light dry fruits. Good carbonation with no traces of alcohol and an average body. Very well done but maybe lacking some body and slightly too dry.

500ml rubber stopper corked bottle. Grey-orange color, murky. The aroma is a little off, I detect an odd sorghum-adjuncty weirdness. Undercarbonated as well, so this might just be an old bottle. The hefe-yeast barely saves this one from drain pour. I’d certainly give it a try in Sonthofen, but this bottle was a disappointment.

Flip top from boardman. Barely any pop. Insignificant chocolate of careob aroma. Looks like very light root beer, almost cream soda. Nice sparkling unhazy appearance. Mild and fairly laid back except for that slight bitter malt nag. Goes down pretty easy. Decent carbonation. Back of throat pond water finish. On par with Moosbacher Kellerbier and voodoo pizilla.

My bottle says bavarian lager on the front, not helles. Good mildly sweet smell. Nice pale slightly hazey look. Decent carbonation on the palte. Not real bitter and pleasantly surprizing. Hay and dirt somewhat. Farm pond water taste. A little creamy, in its own way, on the tongue and back of throat. Finish is not bad, no bitter aftertaste, repeatable. Glad I tried this one, one par for a lager lover. S6L3F2T6O12
