About
Holy Mountain is a brewery and taproom located in the Interbay neighborhood of Seattle, founded by co-owners Colin Lenfesty and Mike Murphy in 2014. The influence of oak has always been the focus of the majority of beers brewed at Holy Mountain. A sizable building near the Seattle waterfront has allowed the team to build a vast stock of oak barrels, puncheons, and foudres used for both primary fermentation as well as long-term aging.
The proximity of the brewery to the Yakima Valley also allows the team of brewers to utilize hops from the best producers in the world, constantly exploring the relationship between hops, oak, and mixed fermentation. Holy Mountain doesn't offer any year-round beers, which creates an ever-changing lineup in the brewery taproom. In addition to oak-influenced beers, Holy Mountain also offers a wide range of rotating, hop-forward ales and lagers.

On tap at Holy Mountain - Interbay, pours a hazy bright orange with a tiny white head. Aroma is super fragrant, with intense apricots—wow!—gentle floral notes, a touch of rose hips, and a nice rustic saison yeast character beneath it all. Flavour is super bright, with super bright, fruity apricots, some floral notes, and a touch of rose hips. Super fruity, moderately acidic, lightly floral. Very good.

On tap at Holy Mountain - Interbay, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma has bright rustic saison yeast, floral dry-hopping, and some low-level phenols. Flavour unfortunately reveals the phenols, with rustic saison yeast, light citrus, and some dry-hopping. Very surprising to see Holy Mountain release something with this much of a phenolic (burnt rubber) problem. Not very good.

On tap at Holy Mountain - Interbay, pours an opaque milky yellow with a small white beans. Nose has plenty of vibrant, dank, melony hops, gentle hopburn, and light citrus. Flavour is fairly juicy, with dank hops, melon, a nice hop tang, and gritty, oaty notes that border on hopburn. Less gritty and muddled than 99% of hazies out there, but I still feel I need a strainer for this. Good hop expression. Ultimately, a good hazy.

Flavour is packed full of tart, juicy raspberries, a fantastic rustic wild yeast expression, and a bitter, tart finish. Deep fruit expression and complexity. This is excellent.

Flavour has a nice rustic yeast base, some citrus peels, slightly sour, with some bitter phenols on the finish. Almost very good, but those phenols really bring it down.

Bottle shared by ClarkVV. Inky black w/nice viscosity, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma coconut, graham cracker, vanilla, bourbon. Taste strong malt, vanilla, graham cracker and mild coconut. Virtually no bourbon in taste. Smooth texture, soft carb. TOO SWEET!

22 oz bottle , thanks Clark. Aroma is vanilla and coconut, mild graham cracker. Flavor follows. I had to search for bourbon. It is here in a very mellow nuance. Mild warming after the sip.

2024 500mL bottle drunk 6/20/26.
Sweet, no distinct adjunct with a round, chocolatey malt and a bourbon that is slow to come on, but does finally appear in the very end. Spicy and well-done but certainly far from intense or forward. No sign of alcohol or coconut.
Coconut and cacao with sweet vanilla and big, round, chewy fudge. Kind of pushing it on the sweetness and the "bourbon" on the end comes off as almost more alcohol than actual bourbon. It's malty, it's syrupy, it's rich, but it's just too sweet, ultimately.
