Cloudy yellow with a decent white head. Dirty banana notes. Sticky sweet banana and a long finish.

Tap at ibrew. Bit sweet maybe, but nice enough. Quite spicy, dough like too, banana. Taste is pretty creamy. Alright. Rerate in hiroshima. Not sure if I was being grumpy last time but feel like the marks should be a little higher.

Tap on the Island itself. Not much aroma, bit wheaty, light grassy hoppiness. Taste is decently crisp, little sweetness, light hops. Alright.

This is the new version. Have left my previous rating below for reference. Little bit fruity, light maltiness, something a little strange too. Decent hoppiness. Nice enough, and huge improvement on the canned version I had last year. Can at home. Golden amber colour, initial bubbly head but goes very quickly. Bit murky. Aroma is grassy, bit fruity too, some lemon, berries, something weird too. Caramel malty, quite sweet. Taste is similarly mixed, fruity and sweet caramel. Bit vegetabley too. Very lifeless texture, quite strange in fact. Sweet finish. It's not horrible, but it's definitely not that nice.. 5.2.5.2.10

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark amber color with a large white head. A light bready nose. Sweet, floral, a soft palate. Light biscuit. Solid. Light.

On tap on the Island at the brewery. Pours a dark brown hue with a large tan head. A light roast nose. Light salty notes, caramel, light roast, some nutty elements. Solid.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark reddish color with a small white head. A malty sweet nose. Honestly, I get momiji here. Syrup, sweet, caramel, big pine hops. Really nice.

330ml can from 7-11 at the Miyajima ferry terminal, filled 20 days ago. 4.5%. Very light red, with little head. Low hops, but an interesting caramel malt flavor, hints of salt almost like soy. Slightly sour. Not bad. From the other reviews (fresher beer maybe better reviews?) I expect it's got wild yeast and that would of course make it change (worse in this case) over time. Curious if they make natural/spontaneous fermentation beers.

330ml can from 7-11 at the Miyajima ferry terminal, can date says 2018/12 so probably 7 months until expiration (?). 5%. Big head settling slowly. Light red straw color, almost like their caramel blond. More malt than hops in the nose. Light citrus hop flavor, moderate but unbalanced bitterness, slight sourness: not really on style for a pale ale. Refreshing nonetheless if you're on Miyajima on a hot day.
