33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Murky brown with an off-white head. Malty aroma with red fruits. Sweet taste with a medium bitter finish. Some vinous notes as well. Great sipper.

Can @ Walrus, Gent. Hazy blond colour, white foam. Citrussy, hoppy, light tart notes of lemon, easy drinkable. Good NA beer.

Pours very eye-catching yellow, hardly looks natural even. Semi-big white head. Scent is very grain forward, corn-like, burst of citrus but not very hop-like citrussy. Taste is fairly sharp, bit bitter, to the drier side. Bit malty, but mostly citrus, again not very hop-like to me. Sure enough a decent drink for a NA, but I wouldnt focuss on it being NA beer to much, rather a soda-replacer.

Almost clear blond colour, white foam. Sweet malty, light bitter hoppy, a bit medecinal. Not the best non alcoholic beer.

Bottle on the 1659 Bruxelles-London Eurostar, 11/02/24. Golden blonde with a thin just off white head. Nose is grains, Belgian yeast esters, hedgerow, herb. Taste comprises grass, sweet stewed fruit pulp,herb, yeast esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable basic Belgian blonde style.

Bottle shared on the Eurostar back from Brussels for Rich's 50th weekend. A light hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet, floral, hairspray, Belgian yeast, hot alcohol, clove. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, clove, apple esters, banana bread, Warming alcohol, spicy phenols in the finish. Some apple custard. Palate is semi sweet, abrasive carbonation, little flabby.

Clear reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of intense caramelized dark malt, some red fruits, dark bread. Taste of dark caramelized malt, chocolate, nuts, brownies, nougat, some raisins.

Reinaert Grand Cru, Fläschchen aus Tausch mit JefVerstraete - thanks, Jef! - Kastanienrotbraun, trüb. - In der Nase warmes dunkles Malz, belgische obergärige Hefe, reiche rote Frucht (Waldbeeren), Bitterorangenschale, Likör. - Antrunk sahnig weich und satt röstmalzig mit reicher dunkler Frucht (Brombeere), Brotkruste, Mokka und Bitterschokolade. Etwas zu deutlich zuckrige Süße geht in solide krautige Hopfenherbe über. Milder rezent, vollmundig bis mastig, wärmend alkoholisch. Im Abgang leicht trocken, fein malzbitter und solide hopfenherb mit Noten von Anis. - Dieses belgische Starkbier gefällt mir besser als erwartet: es ist füllig, komplex bittersüß und erstaunlich aromatisch gehopft. Bloß die Fruchtigkeit ist mir etwas zu penetrant. (18.1.2024.)
