Pours light amber, semi transparent with a touch of haziness. Forms a not too big but densely pillowy white head. Shows quite good retention, scarce lacing. The aroma is dominated by honey and chamomille, among a soft feel that reminds of something in the middle between dough and shortcrust pastry. Has a nice sort of intense softness and is not at all bad, but also quite monotonous. Starts very sweet in the mouth with dough, shortcut pastry, strong flowery (mostly chamomille) and honey notes, even sweeter (a sticky stay there forever sweetness) in finish and aftertaste, with a strong half earthy/half muddy taste. Ok entrypoint, very bad finish. Medium to dense bodied, perhaps denser than i expected for the abv, with medium to high carbonation; feels quite full and slightly creamy. Could use an easier, more lively mouthfeel to compensate for sweetness, but actually gets even stickier this way. Had this out of nostalgia for my youth: bad decision.

Bottle @ home. Almost clear, amber/brown body under a huge, creamy pale beige head. Aroma has lots of caramel malt with some toasted bread, and spicy esters. Taste is sweet caramel malt, toffee, brown sugar, spicy yeast, hint of dry fruit and alcohol. Balanced body and same aftertaste. Highly drinkable, but not particular exiting nor complex really.

12/VIII/23 - 33cl can from Albert Heijn (Gent), shared @ home, BB: 6/XII/24 11:34;L4 VF3079 (2023-445)
Clear yellow blond beer, solid creamy white fluffy head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: floral, pretty soapy, a bit fruity, citrus notes, some overripe banana, pears. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: weird, sourish start, lacto-acidity, a bit lemony, soapy touch, some more citrus juice, weird, zero bitterness. Aftertaste: soapy, a little lemony, weird, slightly metallic, zero hop bitterness. Piss poor excuse for a n/a IPA, over even any n/a beer for that matter. Looks like a beer, but it sure doesn’t taste like beer...

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy golden colour with a medium sized foamy white head and lots of sediment in the glass. Aroma is very fruity with bananas, stoney fruits, citrus fruits, apples, pears, doughy bread, spice and herbal notes. Taste is again very fruity with a mixture of all the fruits mentioned in the aroma, overripe notes, more herbal, bready with citrus pith and peppery spice lingering on a hoppy finish. Medium to full body with low carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. Above average Tripel. Very good.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of honey and floral hops. Some crystal malt. Taste is more of the same, faint yeast spice. Sweet finish. Not my thing.

Bottle at Cafe des Bains De Panne. Hazy gold amber colour lasting white head. Some esters up front and in the beer. Decent strong beer. Spicy hops on the finish. Enjoying getting quietly hammered in De Panne on a Friday lunchtime.
