A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. A pleasant aroma of coffee liquor, chocolate, licorice and orange peels. In mouth, a superb sweet cocoa liquor, nutella, chocolate, Nestle Quick, warming alcohol, superb and rich, a desert beer. On tap at Mondiale 2010.

Draft: Poured a dark reddish color ale with a light foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of sweet dry fruits with some tart notes Taste is an intense mix between some overly sweet malt with notes of dry fruits and some cherry blossom and dark chocolate with light tart notes and no discernable oak. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Interesting though too many flavour are fighting and don’t necessarily mesh well. A bit too sweet for my taste as well.

Bottle thanks to Overml01. Very simple yet powerful barleywine. Pours almost jet black with no head. Nose is raisins, figs, dark fruits, maple syrup, molasses and brown sugar. Taste is the same. A true raisin bomb. Barely noticed the booze.

A deep dark brown IPA with a thin lacing off white head. A light c-hops aroma with some burned wood notes. In mouth, a woody and coffee like IPA with some nice English hops, burned wood developping later, overall, a bit off and unbalanced. On tap at brewpub, April 23, 2010.

50cl bottle at the DC local tasting. Pours a clear, transparent, copper, amber with zero head. Aroma is sweet, a little metallic, spice but a weird banana thing happening. Flavor is sweet, caramel, candy, bananas, a little pine. Full bodied. WAY too sweet though. One note.

A clear dark reddish brown ale with a very thin off white head. Served room temp. A pungeant whallop of alcohol, brown sugar, dark fruits, vanilla fudge, and smooth hops. In mouth, a rather astringent concoction with loads of fusel alcohol, almost burning alcohol, almost no body, rye bread, a bit of licorice, could be much better. On tap at brewpub, Jan. 16 2010.
