Description
Lhasa Beer is a super premium quality all-natural, all-malt lager beer made with the world's finest ingredients including Himalayan Spring Water, Saaz hops, yeast, and a maximum possible quantity of Tibetan barley. The native Tibetan barley, unlike most barley varieties in the world, has no hull. Thus it adds to the beer's body and gives it an extra dimension of flavor while eliminating some of the undesirable astringency that can come from the grain hulls.

Pour is a pale yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is pale malts and nothing else. Flavor is corn with some dry malt and stale hops. Maybe its the water but this did taste softer then most pale lagers.

Bottle from the Co-op in Davis, CA. Pours a lightly hazy gold with a foamy white head. Sort of a lightly sweet odor with not much hop. Near medium body with mild carbonation. It’s clean. It has a smidge of grassy bitter. It’s harmless. Damning with faint praise.

This one was a bit of a surprise. I was expecting Lhasa to be your average crappy lager, but it’s actually pretty good. It seems like an entirely decent pilsner. It pours your standard very pale yellow, but it has a nice rocky, white head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is rather hoppy - all Saaz grassy bite - with some light yeast and pale malt aromas. There’s a very mild vegetal note, but nothing too bad. Happily, the flavor is quite dry and ends with some good grass hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth, light and well-carbonated. There’s even a bit of hop oiliness. A very refreshing beer and a big step up from most popular pale lagers.

Courtesy of markwise. It pours clear gold with white head. The aroma has a mix of spice and floral hops along with malt graininess. The taste is sweet and grainy malts where those notes are cut somewhat by spicy hop bitterness followed by a bit of floral hops.

courtesy of markwise. pours golden, white head aroma and flavors, pale malts, light roast, sweet grainy finish. Pretty decent if you compare it to most of sub standard pale lagers we get in Florida from the Caribbean countries.

Bottle. Golden beer with a whitish head. Light sweet malt and light spice aroma. Spice, orange, and light malt flavor with some earthiness. Medium bodied. Spice, light frutiiness and malt lingers. Different, but interesting fruity flavor - kumquat like.

Bottle from ericandersnavy. Thanks for a new country! It’s really gonna help my geostats map. Pours very light gold with a huge frothy white head. Typical light grass and grain aromas. Fresh. Near medium body with not too strong carbonation. It has not got a lot of flavor, but there is grassiness on through the finish. Best for dealing with food.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours with a white head over an extremely pale yellow body. Aroma of grass, sweat, some sugary malts and grain. Taste is bland with plastic, some urine in the middle and a harsh, grassy, bitter finish. Thin. Not great.

Can. A light yellow beer with no head. The aroma is gross with notes of vegetables. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardboard and vegettables, leading to a dry cardboard finish. Thanks yespr for supplying me with a new country.
