Bottle split at Leighton's 20K, thanks to the deviant himself for this Juan, 01/03/17. Copper to brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit malt, spice, toffee, light fruit rinds. Tate comprises sweet malts, toffee, biscuit, brown bread, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Par for style.

Bottle in Gabrovo - big thanks to Nora! Pours clear gold with a large, lasting, frothy white head. Nice lightly sun-kissed biscuits in the nose, grass, hay, faint citrus peel. Lightky sweet flavour with simple bready malts, more busy it’s, a little dough, faint paper, grass, pale grains. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Crispy biscuits and more simple bread in the finish, some husky and grassy bitterness. A basic beer but enjoyable nonetheless.

Pour is a near almost black with a small white head. Aroma is some caramel and oats with a bit of treacle and musty basement. Flavor is a burnt brown sugar and some raisons. Finish leave a little cola on the tongue. For a beer in a green twist off bottle from Bulgaria this is not too bad. Plenty of sweetish and earthy malt flavor. Some one below said this is between a baltic porter and a schwarzbier and I agree.

Bottle at home in Hackney - big thanks to Nora! Pours clear orange with a thin, foamy topping. Toasty caramel in the nose, some stewed berries, a little citrus. Medium sweet flavour with lightly toasted pale grains, further caramel notes, bread, faint paper, a little marmalade. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish withd decent balance, further lightly toasted grains, a little berry sweetness, very slight leafy bitterness. So so overall.

Bottle at Leighton’s 20K. It pours clear deep brown with a tick light tan head. The aroma is toasty, malt - driven, cereal, brown bread, cola and some dried fruits. The taste is toasty, woody, light roast, nut, leather, cheap cola, treacle and malt load with a dryish sort of spiced finish. Medium body and moderate - high carbonation. Little depth. Simple stuff.
