Description
The name Cramer has been synonymous with Warsteiner since 1753. Today the ninth generation of the clan, Catharina Cramer, carries on a long tradition of brewing excellence, backed by a rich German heritage, a high-quality range and a clear strategy to continue shaping the future of the German and the international beer market.

In 1753, farmer Antonius Cramer was asked to pay beer tax for the first time as his home brewing volumes surpassed by some way the volume allowed for personal consumption. Little did he know that his actions would kick-start a long-standing brewing tradition in Warstein – a small town located in the middle of the beautiful Arnsberg forest, in the heart of Germany’s Sauerland region. Since that date, the business has gone from strength to strength.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear fully golden with a dense and lasting off-white head. Lovely aroma hops in the nose, but then all is pretty much said. The body is thin and watery with only a vague malt feel. Also the finish is thin and sloppy. 261106

Pour is a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is hard to find. Flavor pretty much the same. Nothing really here and so not a dunkel. Just one of these beers to fill out your make a six pack and not really worth the time.

12 oz bottle. Clear pale gold color with thin white head. It has that pale grainy maltiness to the aroma. I can also pick up on the smell of floral spice hops. Tastes just as it smells with grainy Munich style malts plus floral spicy hops. Refreshing brew although a bit lacking in depth. It also comes off a bit watery. There is a nice hop bite that lingers in the aftertaste.

Bottle. This is rubbish. Cola and beer dont mix! Frothy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Redbrown nice colour, but artificial (E150c). More cola aroma than beer. Cola flavor almost no bberflavor. Watery palate. Oh by the way: I dont like Cola.

This is a kind of been there done that kind of a beer. It really adds nothing to the style and is just there. Sure, it is a nice and smooth pilsnener with a refreshing taste. Frankly, I would rather try something new, even if it is worse than this beer. If you haven’t tried it, drink it... you might like it more than I did.

Bottle. Pours dark amber, though taste is very light. A bit sweet on first taste, nice hoppiness to the finish. I have had a pretty decent range of tastes from this beer, depending on freshness.
