Description
The name Cramer has been synonymous with Warsteiner since 1753. Today the ninth generation of the clan, Catharina Cramer, carries on a long tradition of brewing excellence, backed by a rich German heritage, a high-quality range and a clear strategy to continue shaping the future of the German and the international beer market.

In 1753, farmer Antonius Cramer was asked to pay beer tax for the first time as his home brewing volumes surpassed by some way the volume allowed for personal consumption. Little did he know that his actions would kick-start a long-standing brewing tradition in Warstein – a small town located in the middle of the beautiful Arnsberg forest, in the heart of Germany’s Sauerland region. Since that date, the business has gone from strength to strength.

Light blond color. Ways too watery, light aroma, light taste, light palate. Too poor.

Chestnut brown; light nutty caramel aroma; nutty palate, good soft malt character. Sweetish, touch sugary...simple, relatively light but enjoyable.

One night after plenty of beer pong involving a keg of labatt blue light and a 30 of keystone ice, after they ran out, we switched to the warsteiner mini keg. Well it was better than the other beers thats for sure, and tasted great when i was wasted. A nice mix of malt and hops from what i can remember and not even too sweet. ill have to try again soon and rerate. RERATE. Tried again. pleasant golden-brown beer. It is a tad sugary, but still a lot less mild than I expected and dosent kill you with cheap malty taste.

This was billed as non-alcoholic on the label of the bottle I drank. I was shocked that this actually had a decent flavor. As a matter of fact, it tasted better than any light beer I have ever tried. Unfortunately, for me, drinking a non-alcoholic beer is like drinking decaffeinated coffee. What's the point?

Rerate 10/06/03: Tried the draught version, and I'm not sure what I was talking about earlier. Light flavor, light body? Who knows. Dark reddish-brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is lightly nutty. It is light-bodied for a Dunkel, with notes of coffee and nuts. The finish is crisp which makes this a decent session beer overall. However it lacks any real character or complexity. 02/16/02 (3.4): Deceptively smooth-textured considering how dark it is. Since it is so light I would definitely choose over the Premium Verum. If it is going to be light it might as well taste good, and this one does. The aroma stood out a little more than the flavor, which I found to be very straight-forward.
