In 1753, farmer Antonius Cramer was asked to pay beer tax for the first time as his home brewing volumes surpassed by some way the volume allowed for personal consumption. Little did he know that his actions would kick-start a long-standing brewing tradition in Warstein – a small town located in the middle of the beautiful Arnsberg forest, in the heart of Germany’s Sauerland region. Since that date, the business has gone from strength to strength.

Bottle picked up from local Getrankemarkt and consumed sat on the balcony at home Wednesday 2nd July 2025 after another very warm day. Okay it's got some of the usual non alcoholic traits but otherwise not too bad, middling bitterness, nice mouthfeel, crisp, yeah ok.

Temps around 30C today so this is hitting the spot. Pleasantly sweet. A little more citric lemony zip would really put this over the top but as it is, it’s a pretty classic and highly drinkable radler.

As Warsteiner 0.0 FRESH
"full warsteiner taste"
aroma is sweet malty, almost wheat malty,
flavor is sweet malts and cardboard. No hints of citrussy notes which makes it one of the better 0.0 out there,
so a bready malty nonalc with a delicate but fairly light bitter hopping. all in all goes down pretty easily, as a not so sweet malt beverage, but not overly refreshing.
