Description
Founders Javier Aldea and Sami Claret have quite an out-of-the-ordinary corporate philosophy: they’ve been brewing beer without a brewery of their own – rather, they’ve been travelling the world as beer nomads and produced their creations together with craft-beer buddies elsewhere.

Now their idea has been given a home, so to speak – and the beer nomads have settled down a bit, because since 2018 the Nómada beers are being brewed in the pilot brewhouse of Mahou San Miguel's Alovera facility. This alliance with Mahou San Miguel (with a stake of 40% in Nómada) is intended to help the brand focus more closely on the Spanish beer market.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, slightly spicy, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, some cocoa, bready, spicy overtones. Taste is spicy, dark and chocolately malty, sweet-ish notes of treacle, some dark chocolate and cocoa, hints of caramel, a minimally vinous fruity touch of blue grapes and dark berries; oily texture, smooth and soft, creamy, minimally sticky palate.

33cl bottle from Maksimarket, Tallinn. Pours clear straw coloured with a modest, white head. Slightly strange fruity notes, light citrus and pale malt. Moderate sweet with rather low flavour intensity and a balanced bitterness. Fair enough.

Bottled 330ml (Alko web)
Clear golden colour, small white head. Herbal, hayish, lemongrass aroma. Light-bodied, watery, fizzy carbonation. Salty, mineral water, lemon and lemongrass in the flavour. Not much for me.

330ml bottle, thanks Taboada for this! Pours dark, medium off-white head. Good coffee and chocolate on the nose, additional dark malts. Taste is smooth, oily on the palate, nice coffee and cocoa integration, not too rich, good drinkability. Very good.

Leftover bottle still from the beery Christmas calendar. Pours a nice light amber with a thick head, which gradually recedes. Aroma is hoppy and piney, decent maltiness. Some grass. Medium body. Flavour has a nice balance, medium malt sweetness with a clean malt profile and medium bitterness, that pierces through the sweetness. I actually really like this, but I am also not adverse to grassy hop flavours which do show here. Also some pine and herbal hop notes. Reminds me more of an English IPA than an India lager, as there are some esters and quite a lot of fruity flavours. Nevertheless a nice beer. Very drinkable.
