Description
In 2012 it happened that Johannes Heidenpeter, master brewer and owner of Heidenpeters, was allowed to enjoy an English porter by chance. He liked it so much that he started brewing at home, experimented a little and delighted his friends and acquaintances with great beers. The decision to open his own micro-brewery quickly grew in him. The trained artist, who graduated from the art college in Berlin, finally got to know the operators of the Markthalle Neun in Berlin-Kreuzberg and had them taste his beers. They were also immediately enthusiastic and an agreement was reached. With some borrowed money, Johannes went to work and tinkered with his own small brewery. In the meantime, Johannes Heidenpeter brews his creations on a small scale directly in the cellar of the Markthalle Neun.

--Bottled, thanks dunklermessias! -- Clear golden, mid sized head. Lemon aroma. MId sweet with mild tartness. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Lemon juice and salt, bready malt. Low bitterness.

Süffiger, herb hopfiger Antrunk. Das Hopfenaroma nimmt zu, cremig, geringe aber vorhandene Bitterkeit. Würzig, frisch, die Bitterkeit steigt an. Mittellanger würziger und vor allem frisch hopfiger Nachgeschmack. 11/10/12/12/10/12

On tap sat outside at Muted Horn, Berlin, Friday 6th August 2021, lovely day, but clouding over now and starting to look omnious. Pours murky yellow with a white head, soft moutheel. A little dustiness, sweetness, fruity. Good
